Woody Clapham has been building baits for himself and others since 1964. Bill Probasco was building baits for himself back in 1972. Woody traveled all over the United States fishing professionally and winning Bass tournaments. Woody has numerous trophies and has won numerous national tournaments. He gives Bass fishing seminars and had all the top sponsors in the fishing world when he retired from professional fishing. Woody owned and operated a Bass Pro Shop dealership in Iowa City, known as Woody's Tackle and he designed and built his own brand of Jigs, Spinnerbaits, and Buzzbaits. Woody's baits were also sold at other sporting goods establishments throughout the Midwest. Bill met Woody in 1997 while looking for 24K gold spinnerbaits and buzzers. He then joined Woody's Pro Staff in 1998.

In 2000 we decided to build and package baits to not only compete on the open market but to give better quality components at a better price. Later we joined a partnership known as Woody's Pro Lures and have been having fun developing and designing new baits ever since.

It's a great day when you build a bait to catch your own fish, it is even a greater day when you build baits so others can catch their fish. We feel our job is to not only help our customers catch their next fish, but also help them become a better all around fisherman or fisherwoman.
